MR

Over dramatized, inaccurate and predictable bias from Adam McKay given a gloss of authenticity by good acting by Christian Bale. McKay did his best in trying to score as many anti-Republican body hits as he could muster - boring political content.

Don't go tired

Dull and overly long. Alright if you admire Bale but it really is only of academic interest to followers of US politics. Such a let down after The Big Short, which gripped from start to finish.

Almost great!

Superb cast and material but the non linear approach never does it for me in films as it kills expectation as major events get presented first. It's comic touch is much needed to lighten the heavy and cynical themes.A good film but missing something.

Be very afraid..

A superbly acted, imaginatively directed cautionary tale concerning the rise of the radical right in the US, which has now led to the parlous political state of the country at present. It makes you angry, laugh, but mostly very afraid for the future.
