ODEON says...
Dani and Christian are a young American couple with a relationship on the brink of falling apart. But after a family tragedy keeps them together, a grieving Dani invites herself to join Christian and his friends on a trip to a once-in-a-lifetime midsummer festival in a remote Swedish village.

What begins as a carefree summer holiday in a land of eternal sunlight takes a sinister turn when the insular villagers invite their guests to partake in festivities that render the pastoral paradise increasingly unnerving and viscerally disturbing. From the visionary mind of Ari Aster comes a dread-soaked cinematic fairytale where a world of darkness unfolds in broad daylight.

Brave New World

Reviewer: Tell It Like It IsDate: 2019-07-17

Original and extremely captivating, this has to be one of the most disturbing films I've ever seen. My partner actually said he "could never unsee" he'd seen and felt "traumatised". Great story and very clever indeed. Brilliant!

Weird but Great

It was such a strange movie and took weird to another level. I would definitely recommend watching it.

Stunning

Reviewer: viewer#123Date: 2019-07-12

This movie will polarise audiences depending on your expectations, but if you like more arty (folk) horror that takes time to deliver a narrative filled with believable characters and performances, then this is well worth your time. Personally, I was gripped for the duration. There’s lots to digest, and you may be thinking about it days after seeing it. Traumatic, disturbing, but also funny and cathartic.

Pagan rites

Reviewer: charles0207Date: 2019-07-07

Bizarre pagan rites tale, into which four college Americans and two Brits are lured as new blood. Literally jumps from the serene to the cruel and bloody. Some gruesome images, a little slice of ritual sex and Hereditary is clearly referenced.
