ODEON says...
Princess Ahmanet is ‘The Mummy’, an ancient Egyptian princess who was entombed beneath the desert, and who has awoken to claim what is hers and wreak her vengeance upon mankind.

Over the millennia of her imprisonment, her anger and hatred has only grown, and she brings with her horrors beyond human comprehension. She could destroy everything, and only Nick Morton has a chance of stopping her.

Welcome to a new world of gods and monsters with ‘The Mummy’, resurrecting the classic monster franchise with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella.

Scoobie don't...

It was like watching watching Tom Cruise struggle to understand why he was staring in a Scoobie- Doo movie...

Third rate movie

Reviewer: SpikeDate: 2017-06-22

The trailer is actually better than the movie. If you are going to see this because you enjoyed the Brendan Fraser / Rachel Weiss movies then prepare to be spectacularly disappointed. Cruise tries hard but Crowe's Dr Jekyll is pitiful. Popcorn was ok.

Just Awful

Reviewer: JoeDavid2016Date: 2017-06-21

The film is fine, but really wanted more Egyptian themed over the top fun like the mummy movies of the early 2000s. The mummy herself was severely overused , maybe 30mins screen time and walked about a lot not doing much. Missed Opportunity.

I preferred this to the 1999 version but it is nothing special. Tom Cruise is Tom Cruise but Russell Crowe is laughable as Jeckel and Hyde. Worth watching but no classic.
