ODEON says...
A psychological thriller centred on the life of a seemingly ordinary couple, ‘Mother!’ tells the story of how uninvited houseguests disrupt their previously peaceful, tranquil lives.
What they thought was going to be a simple, everyday visit instead ends up sending them into a dramatic downward spiral, in this riveting drama from the acclaimed director of ‘Noah’ and ‘The Wrestler’.
Jennifer Lawrence and Javier Bardem star in ‘Mother!’, which sees director Darren Aronofsky return to the genre that brought him so much success with ‘Black Swan’.

While it might be getting pitched as a horror movie, mother! actually emerges as a kind of dark, twisted, deeply emotional, dreamlike, and surrealist fable, loaded with symbols, and rich in metaphor. An ecofeminist parable of incivility, violation, narcissism, sacrilege, greed, devastation, carnage and ruin. A unique and thorny masterpiece, that defies categorisation. A year from now more people will like the movie than do today. In ten years there’ll be people denying they ever didn’t like it. Oh, and Jennifer Lawrence gives a performance for the ages.

Absolutely the worst film I have ever seen - my friend and I were utterly speechless at the end. I'm just glad I have Limitless and felt sorry for my friend who paid £12 to see it.

WIthout hyperbole I can honestly say this is the worst film i have ever seen. A classic example of a director thinking he is cleverer than filmgoers, while actually being clueless himself. Awful.
