ODEON says...
400,000 Allied soldiers were trapped on the beach at ‘Dunkirk’, surrounded by the German army in the early days of the Second World War. And they needed to be evacuated.

France had been overrun, and the Allied army had been defeated and trapped. In a desperate effort to save the troops, more than 800 boats – from military ships to tiny civilian fishing boats – came to help with the evacuation that would become known as the Miracle of Dunkirk.

Christopher Nolan brings his vision to ‘Dunkirk’, one of the defining events of the 20th Century, starring Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh and Mark Rylance.

German Uniforms?

Reviewer: Alexander TelferDate: 2017-08-18

Did they forget to buy any German uniforms? At the very start walking along the road they are shot at, then when hiding in the boat they are shot at - but you never see any Germans ! ! except until the end where there are a couple of blurred ones!

Unfortunately, Dunkirk didn't live up to my expectations and all the hype. A good film but certainly worth no more than 3 stars at best.

Good movie !

Oh dear. Went to see this film tonight with my wife and son. It's much over hyped and not good at all. It's not historically accurate, action scenes are poor, plot lines are thin and looks like it's trying to be a big film on a small budget.
